The Duke of Edinburgh's Award 


For young people the Duke of Edinburgh's Award offers a unique opportunity to personal Development and achievement. But arranging the expedition section can be challenging and time consuming, this is where we can help! are friendly staff will provide you with all the Training right though to your Practice & Qualifying Expeditions.

We are a Social Enterprise Organisation which is tailored specially to provide Duke of Edinburgh's Expeditions. As an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) we are Licenced to provide Duke of Edinburgh's Training & Expeditions, Bronze & Silver  Awards.  We offer ideal packages designed for Schools, youth groups. And provide ideal opportunities for young people with Disabilities & Special Needs. We work with your staff to ensure suitable structure to suit their needs. 

We provide to Individuals, bringing them together to form a group (An Open Expedition) All packages are suitable and aligned to the Duke of Edinburgh's  expedition Training framework, to take participants through all the required stages from preparation, Training right through to their Qualifying Expedition.

We have structured below some ideal packages to suit all abilities. If you can’t find a suitable package you are looking for please get in touch. The structure of the Training & Expedition Framework are:


 

Introduction Evening (Optional) –

This will provide an ideal opportunity for Participants, Parents, Teachers or Support workers to meet with their expedition Leader, and ask any questions they may have about the Training and Expedition framework. It will give Leaders the opportunity to give a full introduction of the DofE expedition, and development in the award.


Pre Training Day (Optional) –

This Pre Training Day will be delivered within surrounding areas of Lincoln, and surrounding areas of the Peak District. This is an ideal opportunity for participants to book onto extra training to work on elements which they feel they need to improve on.


Pre Training Classroom (Optional) –

This pre-training classroom is an ideal opportunity for participants to cover final elements of the DofE framework. This section can be delivered in your school or a booked residential environment. This section is ideal before your qualifying expedition. 


Pre Expedition & Training –

This section will take place within a Residential environment, in the surrounding area of the Peak District. This Pre Expedition & Training is ideal for lager groups (15 or more participants) the 2 days 1 night will be fully catered, and involve a mixture of classroom and outdoor elements. Leaders will give participants some top tips and advice. This is an ideal opportunity for participants to get used to the outdoor environment and surroundings. We will introduce Participants to some of the basics of expedition life and prepare them for their future goals. (Please speak to Leader for more Information).


Practice Expedition –

An ideal opportunity for participants to practice everything from their Training. Participants will build on their skills & Knowledge in an environment that is suitable for the DofE Level. Their Leader will provide further Training as required through the practice expedition, preparing them for the qualifying expedition.


Qualifying Expedition –

Participants will be assessed against the 20 conditions laid out by the DofE scheme. Leaders will continue monitoring and giving the appropriate guidance and training for progress to the next level of the award. Assessors will assess the teams and de-brief them at the end.


Open Expedition –

We offer opportunities to (Open Expedition) individual participants. The open expedition is ideal for those who could not make School dates or if participants don't have a group to do their expeditions. We offer, Practice Expedition, Qualifying Expedition or both. Participants also have the opportunity to book onto a pre Training day before their expedition.
